Job Description Job Description Our client is a fast?growing family-owned commercial masonry and concrete company that is seeking an experienced Commercial Project Manager to oversee project performance, profitability, scheduling, and quality. Responsibilities Project Collaboration : Work closely with engineers, architects, and general contractors (GCs) to determine project specifications and ensure all project requirements are met. Contract Negotiation : Negotiate contracts with external vendors and subcontractors, securing favorable terms and managing relationships throughout the project. Resource Management : Determine and allocate the necessary resources (manpower, equipment, materials) from start to finish, ensuring alignment with budgetary limitations. Construction Planning : Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines are consistently met. Material Procurement : Acquire equipment and materials, monitor inventory levels, and address any shortages or inadequacies promptly. Subcontractor Coordination : Hire and manage subcontractors, ensuring they understand their responsibilities and deliver quality work on schedule. Field Crew Monitoring : Oversee the work of field crews to ensure it meets quality standards and project deadlines. Progress Evaluation : Regularly evaluate project progress, preparing detailed reports to be shared with GCs and clients. Safety and Compliance : Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards, reporting and addressing any issues to maintain a safe work environment. Experience Required 5 Years of Proven management experience in commercial concrete and masonry construction. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project; experience with Sage and Podio is a plus. Construction Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles. Safety Standards: Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards; OSHA certifications are an advantage. Communication: Outstanding communication and negotiation skills. Bi-Lingual in Spanish is a plus! Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Leadership: A team player with strong leadership capabilities. Certifications: PMP or equivalent certification is a plus. OSHA is a plus.
