Oldsmar Health and Rehabilitation Center - WHO WE ARE: (Facility Name) - a 120 bed Skilled Nursing Facility located in Oldsmar, Florida is currently seeking a Maintenance Assistant. - We are a growing facility in need of an energetic and talented individual to join our team.
As the Maintenance Assistant within a Skilled Nursing Facility you will assist the Maintenance Director in overseeing the buildings equipment and utilities, to make sure everything is running smoothly and is in good working order in accordance with facility policies. - -To be most successful as the Maintenance Assistant, you should be approachable and flexible to change - with the ability to stay calm and collected under pressure. - Here at Oldsmar Health and Rehab, we believe in a strong TEAM approach, that truly improves the lives of all our residents.
TEAMWORK ENVIRONMENT -
Maintenance Assistant Job Summary & Qualifications:

Perform repairs and maintenance on equipment and supplies. -
Share and follow safety rules and policies and procedures of the maintenance department. -
Maintain the building in good repair and keep free of hazards such as those caused by electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling systems.
Perform monthly maintenance checks of the building, grounds, and facilities.
Perform routine maintenance and repair work, such as painting, minor carpentry, repair work, changing light bulbs, and various other routine maintenance tasks.
Coordinate maintenance work with other departments.
Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize, coordinate and simultaneously maintain multiple projects with high level of quality and productivity.
Ability to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and make independent decisions.
Ability to deal with new tasks without the benefit of written procedures.
Function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with employees and vendors. -
