Job Description:
We are looking for an Estimator for a growing team at a
manufacturing and distribution company in Riverview Florida.
American Builders Supply is Florida's largest independent supplier
of lumber, truss, doors and windows. We provide building materials
for the residential building market statewide with locations in
Jacksonville, Sanford, Clermont, Melbourne, Winter Haven, Tampa and
Fort MyersResponsibilities:Use building plans and Customer Specs
for quoting utilizing Plan swift.Using pricelists, creating
submittals for the Customer.Update Quote Log when rewarded new
Jobs.Send Quotes to Customers.Create and update model by model
Quote Library.Review and Finalize Price Lists.*Requirements:High
school diploma or associate degree.Proficiency in Microsoft Office,
Word and ExcelExperience as an office assistant or in related
field.Ability to write clearly and help with word processing when
necessary.Warm personality with strong communication skills.Ability
to work well under limited supervision.Great communication
skills.Work safely and report any unsafe conditions.Train Order
Entry employees on estimating responsibilities.Performs other
duties and responsibilities as required or requested.2+ years'
experience in estimating for new home construction. - 2+ years of
construction and building materials related experience.Ability to
read blueprints and interpret building plans in diagram form. -
Working knowledge of floorplans and elevations. - Understanding of
measurements and basic math principles. - Ability to plan,
coordinate, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines. - Excellent
written and oral communication skills. - High degree of computer
