Supports production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment. Will be assigned specific program(s) or area(s) to lead key manufacturing tasks including developing solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Overall goal to increase lean initiatives and proactively address production issues by utilizing data and closely understanding manufacturing processes. Incumbents are generally experienced in one or more areas of manufacturing operations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: * Review Defects per Thousand Hours (DPTH), Hours per Unit (HPU), and Aged WIP data to meet quality, cost, and schedule objectives; Lead projects to proactively meet/exceed these goals * Identify root cause and corrective actions using data mining and lean manufacturing techniques * Be innovative and look for ways to improve product flow * Work with Flow Leads to implement and/or maintain Flow Lines including Line Balancing, Visual Management, Material Flow, and other key tasks as needed * Initiate and implement new initiatives * Manufacturing floor support to troubleshoot and resolve daily production issues to optimize team performance Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education * Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) * Experience with process improvements * Knowledge in manufacturing processes Desired Skills: * Proven Leadership abilities in dynamic work environments * Lean Manufacturing Experience * Troubleshooting, problem solving, and strong analytical skills * Effective interpersonal communication and team building skills * Demonstrated ability to cultivate effective working relationships * Promotes change from an optimistic point of view * Experience and examples to prove ability to problem-solve and come up with solutions * Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Green Belt Certified * 3 years of professional experience; or 1 year of professional experience with a related Masters degree * Knowledge of SAP and Solumina Clearance Level: None Other Important Information You Should Know Expression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match.
