General Summary:

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Retail Operations Manager, Publix. This role will be responsible for delivering profitable volume growth and provide overall management and leadership across regional grocery customers.  This individual is the key customer linkage with retail execution to drive executional excellence including, but not limited to: speed to shelf, in-stock performance, display conversion and service   In addition to driving core KPIs, this position will also be responsible for managing the relationship with the Lakeland Division.  This position will ideally be located in Tampa, FL (flexibility on location).  Approximately 15-25% travel required.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Sales Planning- Collaborate with customer teams to develop goals and priorities including volume, distribution, display opportunities and drive window focus. Liaison between customer teams and Retail Planning to coordinate promotional plans (executional excellence priorities, including promo details). Effectively & efficiently facilitate two-way communication to ensure clarity and maximize execution.  Responsible for developing and managing product allocations. Identify market specific business development opportunities to grow Campbell Snacks share. 
  • KPI Tracking/Analysis – Lead the creation of customer specific key KPI trackers (promo /display objectives, reset execution and innovation speed-to-shelf, service, ECCO & voids).  Update Field Execution team, identifying opportunities and facilitating feedback on performance.  Analyze performance and incorporate learnings into future planning. 
  • Customer Selling – Main point of contact for the Lakeland Division.  Includes quarterly Director of Merchandising meetings, securing support letters, working with key divisional leadership, managing new store openings, resets & service opportunities.  Creates compression selling materials to enable Field Execution team to drive alignment & support.  Leads customer driven, execution meetings (Retail Planning Meeting, key initiatives like PL distribution and ECCO). 
  • Other- Coordinate service issue resolution.  Manage all necessary store mapping including new and closed stores.  Manage the Publix chain reset process.  Work to coordinate special events including sourcing of samples.


 

Job Complexity:

  • Helps deliver significant volume growth, while maintaining continued growth in profitability
  • Provides overall management and leadership of the planning, reporting and post promotional analysis.  
  • Provides reporting, analysis and KPI’s to hold everyone accountable to deliver the objectives set on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Leads the communication of new products, product expansion, promotional plan development, category management, division key drive window management, with Filed Execution team
  • Works with Customer Sales Leads to establish forecasts on key promotional activity to drive incremental growth and manages to those objectives
  • Ensures execution of key events and programming, including identification of objectives that are aligned with the strategic marketing plan and meets overall sales goals
  • Provides leadership and management of all territory-related retail driven proposals

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university and 7+ years sales experience in the CPG industry
  • Strong analytical ability and Excel skills
  • Strategic thinker with desire to disrupt & innovate
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external partners and customers
  • Collaborative problem solver with strong business & financial acumen
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Travel, 15-25%, all domestic
