Job Description:
Join Encompass Health as we continue to expand our integrated
healthcare services by taking on the role of a Dietitian. In this
key position within our Healthcare & Medical Services department,
you will be critical in shaping nourishment strategies that enhance
patient recovery and overall health. You'll leverage your expertise
in nutrition to develop dietary plans tailored to the specific
needs of our diverse patient base, spanning both facility-based and
home-based environments. This role provides a unique opportunity to
positively impact patient outcomes through specialized,
cost-effective nutritional care. Assess nutritional needs, diet
restrictions, and current health plans to develop and implement
dietary-care plans and provide nutritional counseling. Consult with
physicians and health care personnel to determine nutritional needs
and diet restrictions of patients. Monitor patient progress and
adjust their dietary plans and practices as needed. Educate
patients and their families on nutritional principles, dietary
plans and diet modifications, food selection and preparation.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive
patient care. Stay updated with the latest nutritional research,
integrating best practices into patient care. Expertise in
developing personalized meal plans Ability to perform nutritional
assessments Strong communication and educational skills Knowledge
of clinical research in nutrition Proficiency in dietary software
and tools Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) certified Licensed
Dietitian (LD) status in applicable state
