Job Summary and Qualifications Ultrasound Technologist - PRN/Per Diem At HCA West Florida, we are committed to creating a world-class experience for each patient. We are currently seeking an energetic Ultrasound Technologist on a PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. If you share our passion and vision, we invite you to apply now! Your tasks and responsibilities as an Ultrasound Technologist (or Sonographer) include but are not limited to: Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe, competent manner Accurately perform sonogram examinations in a timely manner Be responsible for recording and processing ultrasound images Maintain statistical results for quality improvement Maintain proactive and effective communication with radiologists regarding any unusual clinical findings, history, and/or test result Qualifications A two-year Allied Health degree or successful completion of a 12-month CAAHEP approved program General Vascular experience highly preferred Valid ARDMS certification or RVT (Registered Vascular Tech) or ARDMS AB (abdomen specialty) or ARDMS OB/GYN within 1 year Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification 1-3 years previous experience as an Ultrasound Technologist Other skills needed: organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, clerical, basic computer, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, reading, comprehension of written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions HCA Florida Blake Hospital is a 383-bed hospital located in Bradenton, FL.
