Job Description:

RN - Registered Nurse - PACUBayCare Health System is currently in search of our newest Team Member who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community at St. Joseph's Hospital South. This innovative facility is specially designed to make patients and visitors as comfortable as possible during their hospital experience and offers a variety of amenities.

The PACU RN responsibilities include:

* Independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
* Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
* Responsible for professional accountability and development
* Also performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

Additional responsibilities at the Statewide Inpatient Psychiatric Program for Children (SIPP) only:

* Direct contact with the child and has primary responsibility for providing personal care, assistance, and supervision to a child.

For this position, we strongly prefer at least 1 year RN experience in PACU, Critical Care, or Emergency Service.

Specific Skills:

* Clinical skills appropriate to position

Certifications and Licensures:

* BLS (Basic Life Support)
* RN (Registered Nurse)
* ACLS (Cardiovascular) if required by department
* Preferred Nurse Specialty

Education:

* Associate's Nursing or Diploma Nursing
* Preferred Bachelor's Nursing

Experience:

* Required 1 year RN Acute Care experience or 6 months RN Acute Care experience with prior LPN experience and completed competency assessment.
