Job Description Job Description Analyzes blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned: ? Assist Project Manager and superintendent with their projects. ? Follow all company estimating policies. ? Review data to determine material and labor requirements and prepare itemized lists. ? Create and maintain company data base of pricing and cost analysis. ? Compute cost factors and prepare estimates used for management purposes such as planning, organizing, scheduling work, preparing bids, soliciting vendors or subcontractors to bid on projects, and determine the most cost effective bid proposals. ? Conduct studies to develop and establish standard hours and related cost data to effect cost reductions. ? Visit job sites prior to preparing estimates. ? Consult with clients, vendors, or other individuals, to discuss and formulate estimates and to resolve issues as directed by the supervisor. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Technical Requirements: Computer literate, utilizing all McCree software proficiently.
