Our Tampa distribution center is a 200,000 square foot facility where we receive, stock, select, ship and deliver over 7,000 SKU's including fresh, bread, dairy, meat, frozen and dry products such as wine, cigarettes, tobacco, candy, food service and other items found in modern convenience stores. As the Marketing Coordinator, you provide support to our Sales Team and Division leadership in managing Customer facing marketing events, data analysis, and program tracking relevant to growing our customer's sales profitably within the C-Store industry. This position's main role is to coordinate the details of traveling marketing events demonstrating available programs directly to retailers and derive additional product and marketing program success through data entry and analysis. This position will require spending time both out in the field and in the office. COMPENSATION: $30,000 base salary with estimated total annual compensation of approximately $45,000 to $50,000 based on performance of the individual within the company and the performance of the company within the marketplace. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Promote Core-Mark and its benefits to customers by developing and coordinating marketing content and special events aimed at educating current and potential customers about our services, products and programs. Proactively support internal and external customers and act as an information resource on Core-Mark, its products, programs, category management trends and marketing success through direct interaction, research, data analysis and reporting. Coordinate and participate in sales meetings, conferences and tradeshows. Build effective business relationships with all retail partners and vendors. Provide sales team instruction and guidance to ensure proper execution and system tracking of all Corporate Marketing programs and product campaigns. Effectively use the technology resources provided, to analyze the current business state and provide focus, direction and effective selling strategies to the sales team. Perform any additional duties, not included in job description, as required. JOB REQUIREMENTS Marketing or Business Diploma/Degree or equivalent experience (4 or more years) in a related industry. Advanced skill set in Microsoft Office systems and software (Excel, Outlook, Word, Access, Microsoft PowerPoint, etc.). Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in managing data, coordinating events, and supporting a team of people in active customer engagement. Familiarity with AS400, Cognos, CRM, or other business systems preferred. Very strong organizational, follow up, and communication skills. Ability to manage a high volume workload, with ever changing deadlines and priorities. Must work well under pressure, meet sometimes conflicting deadlines. Positive attitude and strong work ethic, able to flex schedule as needed for customer needs. Overnight travel is required 25% to 30%. Must have a reliable vehicle meeting company standards for safety and insurance to be used in the performance of duties. Dedication to excellence with a desire to succeed. Experience with strategic thinking and ability to do a planned action versus a reaction. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to communicate effectively with others by telephone, or through written communication; assimilate information and make decisions; work under pressure in a detailed, organized manner. Good customer service skills with a professional, helpful and positive personal and telephone presence. Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and procedure manuals. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure and compute percent, ratio, etc. Effective time management skills and the ability to multi-task and be highly organized. Ability to work in high pressure situations with ever changing deadlines and interruptions, in a professional manner. Ability to travel to meet position requirements Ability to lift/push/pull/carry up to 10 pounds on a frequent basis, ability to lift 30 pounds on an occasional basis.
